Outside Sales Representative
A leading Phoenix-area industrial distributor is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow its automation business across industrial channels. This role focuses on building customer relationships, uncovering application needs, and connecting customers with automation products and technical support.

Position Summary
- Build and maintain relationships with industrial customers, including end users, OEMs, integrators, and other channel partners.
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts by identifying customer needs for automation and control solutions.
- Learn customer applications and recommend products in partnership with internal product specialists and technical resources.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting and customer visits through solution development, quotations, and follow-up.
- Maintain territory plans, account activity, pipeline updates, and forecasts in the company’s CRM.
- Coordinate with inside sales and operations to support customers through order fulfillment and ongoing account needs.
Skills / Requirements
- B2B outside sales experience; industrial distribution, automation, electrical, or other technical product sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial automation products and applications is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills, with the ability to ask good questions and understand customer needs.
- Comfort explaining technical products and solutions to both technical and business contacts.
- Self-directed approach to territory planning, prospecting, and managing a field sales schedule.
- Organized follow-up habits and experience using a CRM to manage accounts and opportunities.
